Lockouts are the most common locksmith call. Keys left inside, a lost key ring, a door that latched behind you or a key that snapped in the lock all leave you on the wrong side of the door. Our technicians use non-destructive opening methods wherever possible.

Learn moreWhile you wait
- Stay somewhere safe and well lit, especially at night.
- Have your ID ready, plus mail or a lease for a home lockout.
- For a car, note the make, model and year.
- If a child or pet is locked in a car or a home with a hazard inside, call 911 first.
After you are back in
If your keys were lost or stolen, think about who might find them. Rekeying makes the old keys useless, and we can do it on the same visit if you wish.
Frequently asked questions
Will opening the lock damage my door?
We use non-destructive methods first. In rare cases, such as a seized or high-security lock, drilling may be the only option; we will explain that and the cost before going ahead.
What ID do I need?
Photo ID plus something linking you to the address or vehicle, such as mail, a lease or a registration.
Can you make a new key while you are there?
Yes. For most house locks we can cut a key on site, and for many vehicles we can cut and program a replacement.
